The delicate practice of painting the hidden edges of books dates back to the 10th century and is now considered an endangered craft. Join artist Mandy Howard as she shares this beautiful historic art form and helps keep it alive through her workshops across North Carolina. Inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, this very special workshop invites you to step into a little bit of Wonderland while creating your own painted page masterpiece. Alongside the workshop, guests will enjoy a delightful light Afternoon Tea experience presented by The Vintage Teapot. Discover the traditions, and etiquette of afternoon tea while enjoying a beautifully styled vintage tea setting. Guests will have a dedicated selection of vintage teaware for their tea experience, with separate vintage pieces provided for use as painting palettes and water dishes during the workshop.
